Q:	Can I use the EZ-Vac on my fingertips?
A:	No, the EZ-Vac is not intended for the fingertips. The tip of the device is designed to be used on a flatter surface like the forearm.
Q:	Does the EZ-Vac also puncture the skin?
A:	No, the EZ-Vac is used as a companion to a separate lancing device and is applied to the test site only after the site is lanced.
Q:	Once the EZ-Vac is applied to the test site, how long does it take for a blood drop to develop?
A:	The drop of blood most often appears immediately though sometimes it may require 10 to 20 seconds of applied vacuum.
Q:	How do I get a larger drop of blood?
A:	If the EZ-Vac does not produce a large enough drop of blood upon the first application, press the plunger again to deactivate, and then reapply. You may need to reapply the EZ-Vac to the same site a few times before you obtain a sufficient amount of blood. A larger gauge lancet, such as a 21 gauge, will also help you to obtain a larger blood sample.
Q:	What do I do if I accidentally lance a vein on my forearm?
A:	Apply direct pressure to the lancing site with a clean cloth or gauze and hold in place for several minutes, elevate and rest. A large bruise may develop but typically will disappear in a few days. Contact a physician if condition persists, and bleeding does not readily stop, or if you experience dizziness, nausea, restlessness, shallow breathing, or clammy skin ¹. 1. Q:	Does the EZ-Vac contain latex?
A:	The EZ-Vac does not contain latex. For a list of materials please contact AmbiMedInc.
Q:	How do I clean the device after use?
A:	Use 70% rubbing alcohol or soap and water to wipe the inside and outside of the EZ-Vac. To avoid rusting the internal spring, do not submerge the device in water or wash the device in the dishwasher.
Q:	Can the EZ-Vac be used on more than one person?
A:	The EZ-Vac is intended for the single user. To avoid exposure to contaminants, do not use the EZ-Vac on multiple users.
